What I Loved (and Hated) in Skincare & Hair Products This Month

Get ready to transform your skincare routine with the ultimate lineup of products I loved (and hated) last month so you don't have to waste your money trying them all out too. Let's get started.

  • Miriam Quevedo Luminous Conditioner — Great for dry, brittle hair. I loved the results: my hair was softer, shinier, and the scent is gorgeous.

  • Pacifica Beauty Scalp Love — I didn't see a ton of hair growth from this, but it felt and smelled amazing. I loved using it at night with this scalp massager — it gives a refreshing tingle and smells like a spa.

  • Sonya Dakar Nano Mask — A great mask if your skin is mature and very dry. I left it on for 20 minutes and rinsed off with a wet washcloth. Follow with the hydrator below.

  • Beauty by Joseph SPF 50 — A product I make sure to never run out of. It works on all my family members and is the best SPF I've used.

  • Replenix Brightening Eye Cream — I didn't notice a huge difference in my undereye circles, but this eye cream is great for fine lines and wrinkles, plus mild to moderate undereye dark circles. It's a blend of All-Trans-Retinol and Green Tea Polyphenol Technology that targets wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness around the eyes without irritation. A winner for me, great for all skin types and eye shapes.

  • Good Molecules Yerba Mate Eye Cream — Hated this one. It was sticky and did nothing for my dark circles, plus it dried matte, making my eyes feel dry.

  • Dieux Instant Angel — I've never broken out as badly with a face cream as I did with this one. Like everyone else, I've seen it all over TikTok, but it did nothing for my dry skin. Most days I had to layer it with another cream, and it caused massive, painful under-the-skin cysts.

  • Sonya Dakar Nano Hydrator — This was okay for me. While the mask above was very hydrating and nourishing, this left my skin needing an oil or a heavier cream layered on top. Great for combo or dry skin, but avoid it if your skin is severely dry.

  • Vegamour Anti-Gray Serum — I saw no difference in the grays with this serum, but my hair grew fast while I used it — I had to go in every two to five weeks for a root touch-up to cover the grays. If you want longer hair, this is for you. For grays, it did nothing for me.
