There’s something satisfying about finishing a skincare product—proof that you really gave it a fair shot (or in some cases, couldn’t stop reaching for it). Last month, I worked through a handful of empties worth talking about. Some are holy grails, some are solid performers, and a couple I’d like to test more before declaring a ride-or-die. Let’s break them down.
This body polish is equal parts ritual and results. With glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acid plus a soft grit from bamboo charcoal, it leaves skin incredibly smooth without over-stripping. The eucalyptus scent feels like a spa moment in your shower. This is one of the few body exfoliators that balances the skin barrier while still feeling effective.
Verdict: Would repurchase. One of my favorite pre-wax steps or weekly refreshers.
Creamy, comforting, and just what my dry skin needed after a long day. This cleanser removes the daily grime without disrupting the skin barrier or leaving that tight feeling. I used it every night and never got bored. It's an ideal morning or second evening cleaner.
Verdict: Will definitely repurchase. It’s the cleanser I recommend to almost every skin type especially dry or sensitized.
This was my second bottle and it remains one of the few pigment-correcting products I’ve seen visible results from. It uses resorcinol, azelaic acid, and antioxidants to gently fade spots without hydroquinone. I noticed a smoother, brighter complexion after about 4 weeks of consistent use.
Verdict: Repurchasing. It plays well with my routine and doesn’t irritate like some pigment fighters can.
A little bougie? Absolutely. Worth it? Honestly, yes. This creamy balm-to-milk cleanser is like washing your face with a silk scarf. Hungarian thermal water, calendula, and evening primrose oil melt away the day with zero effort. It’s especially dreamy as a morning cleanse or second cleanse in the evening.
Verdict: Will repurchase. A treat-myself moment that delivers on feel and results.
A powerful (but gentle) vitamin C serum with 20% L-ascorbic acid, peptides, and ceramides. This one did not oxidize quickly like some other vit C serums I’ve tried, and it layered beautifully under sunscreen. Over time, I noticed a subtle brightening effect and plumper, smoother skin.
Verdict: Already restocked. A clinical-grade serum that plays nice with sensitive skin? Yes, please.
K-beauty hydration at its finest. Hyaluronic acid meets centella asiatica in this watery-gel serum that calms redness and boosts hydration. It was perfect for daytime layering and a great reset if my skin felt overwhelmed.
Verdict: Great price, solid performer. Would repurchase during warm weather months or as a light layering option.
This month’s empties were a mix of sensorial favorites and clinical performers—a theme I’m always chasing in my routine. From pigment correction to barrier support and hydration, each of these served a purpose, and most earned a permanent spot in my skincare wardrobe.
Have you tried any of these? What’s in your empties bin right now?
